Fruit & Devon Scones

Ingredients
 
225g self raising flour
75g butter/ marg
50g mixed or dried fruit
40g caster sugar
80mls milk

Method
 
•Rub butter into flour until it looks like breadcrumbs
•Add sugar and dried fruit (if using) and stir
•Make a well in the middle of mixture and pour in the milk, stir gathering all the dry ingredients
•Roll out and flatten to about 2cm, cut out with cutter and place on baking tray
•Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
•Oven bake for about 25-20 mins or until firm and golden brown
