Our School Aims
High Standards in Everything We Do
We believe that in everything we do, we should always expect high standards of ourselves and of others. It is the Thackley way that all our pupils and staff alike are encouraged to strive for their best at all times and to be proud of all their achievements.
Skills for Life
Our aim is to equip our pupils with the essential skills they need for life and life long learning. This is achieved through the design of our curriculum and incorporating projects such as enterprise week, table top sales and the biscuit project where pupils are encouraged to use social and business skills to enhance their learning. Throughout school children are provided with opportunities to speak out, have a say and contribute to their own learning.
Happy Memories
A school is more than just achieving academic success, it is also about creating the happy memories of a person's childhood. It is our responsibility as a school to provide and create these opportunities so in years to come children can laugh with their children about all their happy memories. Our pupils leave with many happy memories; some of the more noteable are the residentials, the enrichment weeks/days and the time spent with friends on their learning journey.
